SOEDESCO released an interview with Chris Darril, game designer, director and artist behind the horror title Remothered: Tormented Fathers. The interview brings insights into the story of the critically acclaimed game and reveals the inspiration behind it.
The mastermind behind the game points out it’s about more than horror. The game touches many different subjects, such as the fear of being alone, identity struggles, and the contradictory relation between science and religion. This makes for a pure horror story with complex characters and cinematic storytelling.
Chris takes his inspiration from a variety of movies (such as Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, and The Shining by Stanley Kubrick) and games (Silent Hill by Keiichiro Toyama). From a very young age, Chris got intrigued by animated movies and the process behind the animation of the drawings themselves. His fascination with movies and games eventually results in a critically acclaimed survival horror game.
Along with this interesting interview, SOEDESCO also confirmed a retail version for Remothered: Tormented Fathers will be available on October 31st.
