Dirt 5 delayed to November to accomodate next-gen launch

DiRT 5 Delayed To November

Codemasters announced it was delaying DiRT 5 to November 6th. The game will be available on Xbox One. Codemasters indicated that the delay was in part to avoid a long release delay between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions.

Players who purchase the Amplified Edition will receive exclusive content and three days early access. Also, DiRT 5 will be eligible for the Microsoft Smart Delivery program meaning players who buy the Xbox One version again will get the Xbox Series X for free.

Frank Sagnier, Chief Executive Officer at Codemasters said:

DIRT 5 has received widespread critical acclaim, culminating with it receiving the Gamescom 2020 Best Racing Game Award, (…) The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next-generation console launches which are expected in time for the holiday season.
