Capcom has announced one of the worst kept secrets of the year: a remake of Resident Evil 3 is coming and it’s sooner than you might think.
While some of us are contemplating RE2 Remake as one of the best games of the year, Capcom plans to take over 2020 with a remake of Resident Evil 3 which has been confirmed for a 3rd April 2020 release.
Resident Evil 3 is set around Jill Valentine as she tries to escape Raccoon City and the nightmarish outbreak of the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella Corporation. She’s hunted by an unstoppable force whose only purpose is to eliminate S.T.A.R.S. members: Nemesis. Nemesis is a towering humanoid bio-weapon designed for both brutality and high-functioning intelligence.
Much like RE2, the RE3 remake is built using the RE Engine; which could also be seen in DMC5 and Resident Evil VII.
And remember Project Resistance? An asymmetrical 4 vs. 1 multiplayer game originally unveiled as a working title at Tokyo Game Show earlier this year, well it will be be included with RE3 when it releases next April too.
