Konami has confirmed the release date for PES 2020, which will launch for Xbox One on 10th September.

We’ve also been provided a closer look into changes to this year’s release, have a read of the breakdowns below.

Master League

Master League Remastered now has legendary football managers such as Maradona to chose from, as well as enhanced integration of real world data to bridge the gap between game and reality, ensuring that each facet of the Master League transfer market follows the real world.

New in PES 2020, Master League’s powerful interactive dialogue system puts the reins firmly in your hands when it comes to controlling story progression. Choose responses that suit your personality to drive mode progression and create your own personal Master League story.

Lastly there will be customised sponsor logos on backdrops for press conferences, so the experience moves more towards being super realistic.

Gameplay

In terms of gameplay, the development team have worked closely with Andrés Iniesta to bring his footballing ability to the game. Particularly, in reading the space around him and slipping through the tiniest cracks of an otherwise impregnable defensive line into a new dynamic dribbling technique.

PES 2020 will also feature realistic portrayal of player error, creating more opportunities for you to take advantage of careless mistakes made by opponents.

Trapping a football is something of an art, and just as no two artists would paint a portrait in the same way, each player has his own unique approach to taking command of the ball.

The development team has gone to great lengths to realize this concept in PES 2020, with huge improvements coming to the way that trapping works in-game. Players will now exhibit enhanced intelligence when interacting with an approaching ball, choosing a trapping technique that is not only representative of their personal playstyle, but also one that suits each match situation.

A handful of new trapping skills will also be available; including No Touch Control, which enables you run beside an incoming ball without making contact; and the Trick Trap, a skill that allows you to feint a trap in one direction before deftly veering off in the other to beat an opponent.

Matchday

it distils the essence of football culture into a competitive format that lifts you out of the spectator stands and puts you onto the pitch. Align yourself with one of two different sides at the start of each event, wherein every perfectly placed pass and show-stopping goal you unleash contributes points toward your side’s victory.

Once you’ve aligned yourself with a side, you’ll then face off against members of the opposition in Group Matches to earn Event Points. The side with the most Event Points at the end of this phase will enter the Grand Final with an advantage.

You’ll earn points even if you don’t win, so be sure to play as many matches as possible to ensure your side stands in good stead ahead of the Grand Final.

The Grand Final will also be viewable via a livestream feed in Matchday mode, so be sure to add your voice to the roar of the crowd in support of your Representative.

Visuals

Whether you’re playing under the hot midday sun or the brilliant glow of the floodlights at night, lighting conditions in PES have never looked this vibrant.Vast improvements made to the lighting engine ensure a greater level of immersion as the stadium, stands and players are brought to life.

3D full-body scans have been taken of various players to add a new layer of photorealism to player models in PES 2020, as well as high quality cut-scenes for those intense matches.

Dramatic improvements to turf rendering are coming to PES 2020 adding depth and personality to each blade of grass too.

So there we have it PES 2020 sounds like a real match ball winner doesn’t it? How will do it against FIFA this year?
